I'm not sure how many students you are dealing with (I assume you are limiting your sample size to second grade?), but you may need to build in more time for the parent contacting.
ReplyDeleteAgain, I am unfamiliar with the process in elementary, but parent contact is time and people intensive. You may need to recruit more folks to help with that part of the plan.
In your surveying of the parents, you may want to create questions to determine how to best communicate or reach them in the first place. Depending on the population, phone/internet or handouts often do not reach parents. Determining best methods for communicating with them could be useful for future enquiry.
TSO, you are right about the timing. I think I feel like this assignment has to be completed this school year so I am rushing the timeline. The survey I will be using does include an area where I ask parents about contact information. Thank you for your feedback.
